Attorney Richard S. Ravosa is the Executive Director of the Baystate Law Center, with a team of experienced attorneys practicing in offices across Massachusetts. Several of his cases have been cited in the Massachusetts Bankruptcy Reporter and he has been featured with his clients on Boston and Springfield television news broadcasts, as well as on the front page of the Sunday Republican newspaper. Attorney Ravosa hosted a popular weekly call in radio show on bankruptcy, foreclosure prevention and debt relief that was broadcast throughout New England on WBNW, 1120 AM, in Boston. He also founded the Massachusetts Debt Relief Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides pro bono bankruptcy attorneys to Massachusetts residents who have found themselves in debt through no fault of their own, and assists them in overcoming debt with dignity. Mr. Ravosa is admitted to the practice of law in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Attorney Ravosa handles will contests, real estate disputes, and contested matters relating to the disposition of assets, inheritances and estate property. He has a record of success trying cases and resolving disputes through negotiation and arbitration in Land Court, Superior Court, District Court, Probate Court, United States District Court and United States Bankruptcy Court.
Cynthia R Ravosa is admitted to the practice of law in Massachusetts and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She received her B.A. in Government from Smith College and her Juris Doctorate cum laude from Suffolk University School of Law. Attorney DiBona has over ten years of experience in estate planning, estate administration, and related practice areas, and she represents clients in the Probate and Family Courts throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Boston Bar Association, and Women's Bar Association of Massachusetts.
Maegan L. Hurley, Esquire, is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Attorney Hurley is a graduate of Simmons College and Suffolk University Law School, where she received Pro Bono Honors. Attorney Hurley has experience helping lower income individuals through her work as a student attorney at Suffolk Law's Housing Clinic and as a coordinator for "No One Leaves", which is a grass roots resource that offers legal information and resources to families facing post-foreclosure eviction. She is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and prior to her becoming an attorney she had the privilege to work for United States Senator Ted Kennedy. Ms. Hurley is the director of the firms' pro bono section.
Justin M. Lavelle, Esquire is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Western New England College School of Law and is a lifelong resident of Western Massachusetts. Attorney Lavelle specializes in the fields of criminal law, personal injury and consumer protection. Attorney Lavelle is a member of the advisory board of and legal counsel to the Western Mass Green Consortium, an environmental advocacy nonprofit organization. Attorney Lavelle also represents indigent tenants pro bono in eviction proceedings. Mr. Lavelle heads the firms' criminal practice section and has a record of success defending those charged with criminal and motor vehicle charges.
Attorney Cyr's practice has focused on residential foreclosure prevention and loan modification. In many cases, Attorney Cyr's knowledge of federal lending requirements, professional contacts, and negotiation skills have been the difference in a client obtaining a successful loan modification. Attorney Cyr's organized, logical approach to applying for a loan modification has helped a number of clients reduce their monthly payment and principal balance, set a fixed, lower interest rate, and shift the delinquent amount owed to the back end of the loan. Mr. Cyr also has a record of success in litigating foreclosure issues to secure homeowners' the right to continue to live in their house while a modification request is pending with their lender.
